Congrats go out to the Pittsburgh Pirates on their first winning season in 20 years. They got their 81st win of the season yesterday. Now there is still a lot of work to be done for them but this is a victory on its own. Although I have a Baltimore fan I am happy for them regardless because the Orioles had a season like that last year.

I recommend this movie for any baseball fan.it tells the story of the great Jackie Robinson. His struggle and his triumph to get in an all-white league of men. His accomplishment is so great that now every April every team in baseball wears his number 42 for a day. His number is the only number retired throughout baseball. Great movie with interesting facts. I really enjoyed it.

Team Hotwheelz & Colours in Motion

This is a wheelchair dance team started by Chelsie Hill and the Walk and Roll Foundation.Chelsea was injured in a severe car accident. She became a paraplegic and had to use a wheelchair. She met Auti Angel who has her own dance team Colours in Motion. You see both girls were dancers before they got hurt. So they both wanted to continue to dance. Chelsie joined Auti and her group. Surf Dog Ricochet

Ricochet is a golden retriever who tried to become service dog  but had too much drive to chase birds. Her owner noticed she enjoyed the water on her own a surfboard One day you decided to try something with her and have her surf next to Patrick Ivison who happens to be a quadriplegic. That worked for a while then ricochet just jumped on the back of his board and the rest is history. Now ricochet serfs with people with all disabilities. New York Mets are hosting the MLB All-Star game. The best players from the first half of the season are selected to play by the fans and other people around the sport. The Orioles actually will have a good showing this year. We even have a starter in J.J Hardy. Good luck to all who play.

Tonight the Orioles and Rangers finish up a four-game series. The Rangers won the first two and we won the one yesterday 6-1.I hope we can win tonight. That way it would be a split.

the first two games of the series were rough for the Orioles. Both ended in a loss. There was the possibility of them getting swept Sunday afternoon. They narrowly escaped getting swept by winning 2 – 1. Great defense by our third baseman. Adam Jones helped us win it also by getting to the Yankee closer.

I'm not a big fan of basketball I must admit. The finals this year Miami Heat versus the San Antonio Spurs. In my opinion this Spurs totally blew their chance to win it all. Quad rugby a.k.a. Murderball

I'm just starting to learn about the sport really but it is awesome. Last Saturday I watched this movie called "Murderball". An intense sport involving wheelchairs a ball and some crazy men that are so competitive you can feel it in the air. the Orioles have hit a rough patch but the season is just beginning for them. The Washington Capitals have been on an upswing just at the right time. Winning four straight before the playoffs.

I went to an Orioles game May 14, 2013 with some great friends. Memories were made and old connections rekindled. Even though the team ended up losing that night it was so worth it. Food, friends and a ball game.

Ravens 2012 champions and Rebuilding

the ravens won super bowl 47 against the 49ers. It was a crazy game because the power went out at the Superdome. The score was 24 to 6 at the time of the outage. Ravens ended up coming out on top 34 – 31. Joe Flacco was named MVP of the Super Bowl. We lost players to other teams after the season games came to an end but we will be okay because we picked up other important players to fill the gaps that were left vacant.

Stanley Cup Finals

The Finals lasted 6 games. It was between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks.. Boston was strong at the start of the series.. Going up 2-0 in the series but eventually falling in Game 6. When the Blackhawks scored 2 goals in 17 seconds. It was an exciting finish to a shortened season. Both teams played hard. It is the nature of the game to leave it all on the ice.
